Which JSON Schema draft is supported?
Schemas are evaluated with JSON Schema draft 2020-12 semantics, including the standard string formats (email, date-time, uri, uuid, …). Draft-07 staples such as dependencies and $ref keep working, so schemas written for older drafts validate as you expect.
Does $ref work?
Yes. Local $ref targets such as #/$defs/name resolve against the schema you pasted. Remote $refs (URLs) are not fetched — everything runs offline in your browser.
What is the difference between an error and an issue?
Both panes are validated — malformed JSON in either one is reported as an input problem ("Schema is not valid JSON") rather than a schema violation, so you always know which side to fix.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Validation compiles and runs locally in your browser via Web Worker — schema and document never leave your device.
